Alexi Amarista (2008-09) became the third member of the 2009 Kernels squad to join the Angels. Michael Kohn started the year with the Angels and Tyler Chatwood has made three starts recently with the injuries depleting the rotation.
Alexi Amarista hit .319 with 4 HR, 10 triples, 39 doubles and 49 RBI for the Kernels in 2009. Amarista led the team with a .390 OBP and was second on the team with 38 stolen bases.

Alberto Callaspo (2003) went 3-4 and scored a run as the Angels battled through a rain delay and defeated the White Sox 4-3. Mark Trumbo (2006-07) was 2-4 with a double, a RBI and scored a run. Peter Bourjos (2007) went 1-3 with a walk, Hank Conger (2007) was 0-3 with a RBI and scored a run and Howard Kendrick (2004) went 0-5 in the win.
Jordan Walden (2008) struck out one in a scoreless ninth inning for his second save of the season in the Angels win.
Bobby Jenks (2001) took the loss as the Red Sox fell 7-6 to the Blue Jays. Jenks allowed four runs in 1/3 of an inning of work.
Sean Rodriguez (2004-05) went 0-3 with a walk in the Rays 5-2 win over the Twins. Casey Kotchman (2002) was 0-1 at the plate as a late inning replacement for the Rays. Joel Peralta (2001-02) worked a scoreless eighth inning in the win.

Tyler Chatwood (2009) made his Major League debut striking out four in five innings of work. Chatwood allowed two home runs and took the loss as the Angels fell 4-0 to the Indians. Rich Thompson (2003) worked a scoreless ninth to finish the game.
Hank Conger (2007) went 1-3, Mark Trumbo (2006-07) was 1-3, Alberto Callaspo (2003) went 1-4, Howard Kendrick (2004) was 1-4, and Peter Bourjos (2007) went 0-3 in the loss.

his 1st save of the season in the Angels 5-3 win over the Rays. Michael
Kohn (2009) allowed a solo HR working the eighth inning.
Hank Conger (2007) was 1-4 with a solo HR, Howard Kendrick (2004)
went 2-2 with a triple two walks and scored two runs, Alberto Callaspo
(2003) was 1-4 with two RBI, Peter Bourjos (2007) went 1-4 with his 1st
stolen base of the year and Mark Trumbo (2006-07) was 0-4 in the
victory.
Sean Rodriguez (2004-05) went 1-3 with a solo HR and a walk in the

Jordan Walden
posted a 4-6 mark with a 2.18 ERA during the first half of the 2008
season for the Cedar Rapids Kernels. Walden struck out 91 batters in 107
1/3 innings of work before being promoted to Rancho Cucamonga
mid-season.
Jordan Walden made his MLB debut on
August 22, 2010. Walden posted a 0-1 record with a 2.35 ERA and earned a
save working 15 1/3 innings of relief work for the Los Angeles Angels
of Anaheim last season.

Mike Napoli (2001-02) homered in his Rangers debut on Friday. He was a member of the 2001 and 2002 Cedar Rapids Kernels
teams. In 2001, the Kernels finished 60-77 under manager Tyrone Boykin.
Napoli hit .232 with 5 HR and 18 RBI in 43 games for Cedar Rapids. In
2002, the Kernels posted a 81-58 mark under manager Todd Claus. The 2002
Kernels defeated Quad Cities before losing to Peoria in the semifinals
of the Midwest League Playoffs. Napoli hit .251 with 10 HR, 19 doubles
and had 50 RBI in 103 games for Cedar Rapids in 2002.
Mike
Napoli enters the 2011 season with a career .251 batting average, 92 HR
and 249 RBI in five seasons playing for the Los Angeles Angels of
Anaheim
