This date in Kernels history – April 29, 2010 – Carlos Ramirez
On April 29, 2010, Carlos Ramirez was 2-4 at the plate with a pair of HR, three RBI and scored three runs as the Kernels defeated the Clinton Lumberkings 7-5. Carlos Ramirez hit .226 with 9 doubles, 9 HR and 34 RBI in 77 games during the 2010 season for the Kernels. Cedar Rapids finished the season with a 82-56 record under manager Bill Mosiello. The Kernels lost to Clinton in the first round of the Midwest League Playoffs. Carlos Ramirez returned to play in 31 games for the 2011 Kernels squad hitting.259 with 3 HR and 12 RBI. Cedar Rapids finished the 2011 season with a 61-78 record under manager Brent Del Chiaro.
Carlos Ramirez hit .348 with 21 doubles, 4 HR and 28 RBI for the Inland Empire 66ers (Hi-A) in 52 games and played in four game for the Arkansas Travelers (AA) after being promoted in 2011. Ramirez has started the 2012 season with the Arkansas Travelers in 2012.
