Cam Bedrosian joins Kernels from extended Spring Training

The Cedar Rapids Kernels and Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim announce that RHP Cam Bedrosian will join the Kernels from Extended Spring Training in Tempe, AZ and that RHP Jacob Negrete has been assigned to Extended Spring Training. The Angels selected Bedrosian, 20, in the first round (37th overall) of the 2010 Free Agent Draft out of East Coweta HS in Georgia. He did not play in 2011 due to injury and made five appearances (four starts) for the AZL Angels in 2010, posting an 0-2 record and 4.50 ERA in 12 IP. He allowed 13 hits and 11 runs (six earned) with seven walks and 10 strikeouts. He is the son of former Major League pitcher, Steve Bedrosian.
