On June 6, 1993, Chris Jones (Cedar Rapids Reds – 1986) was 3-5 at the plate with two HR, four RBI and scored two runs in the Colorado Rockies 11-7 loss to the Philadelphia Phillies at Veterans Stadium.

Chris Jones hit .252 with 30 HR and 131 RBI during his nine year MLB career. Jones played for the Cincinnati Reds, Houston Astros, Colorado Rockies, New York Mets, San Diego Padres, Arizona Diamondbacks, San Francisco Giants and the Milwaukee Brewers.

Chris Jones was part of the 1986 Cedar Rapids Reds team that finished 70-70 under managers Gene Dusan and Paul Kirsch. Jones hit .247 with 20 HR in 128 games for the Cedar Rapids Reds that season.
