This date in Kernels history – July 16, 2006 – Robert Mosebach
On July 16, 2006, Robert Mosebach pitched eight shutout innings to lead the Kernels to a 4-0 victory over the Southwest Michigan Devil Rays. Mosebach struck out seven while allowing five hits and one walk in the win to improve to 7-4 on the season.
Robert Mosebach went 10-6 with a 3.04 E.R.A. in 24 starts for Cedar Rapids in 2006. Mosebach struck out 97 batters in 159 2/3 innings of work. Cedar Rapids finished the season with a 65-74 record under manager Bobby Magallanes.
Robert Mosebach pitched in the Angels organization for six seasons in the minor leagues between 2005 and 2010. Mosebach made his MLB debut with the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim on April 25, 2009 against the Minnesota Twins. He was 0-0 with a 7.73 E.R.A. in three appearances out of the Angels bullpen finishing one game. He struck out two in 2 1/3 innings of work.
