On July 21, 2009, Erick Aybar (Cedar Rapids Kernels – 2003) went 4-5 at the plate with a double, triple, three RBI and scored a pair of runs as the Angels topped the Royals 10-2.

Erick Aybar is the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim’ s starting shortstop. Aybar has hit .273 with 28 HR 234 RBI and stole 85 bases during his seven seasons in major league baseball. He won the 2011 American League Gold Glove at shortstop.

Erick Aybar hit .308 with six HR, 10 triples, 57 RBI and stole 32 bases in 125 games for the 2003 Cedar Rapids Kernels. The team finished in 10th place at 66-72 under manager Todd Claus.
